Ap --- 0 to 25 centimeters; very dark gray (10YR 3/1) moist, interior, very fine sandy loam; grayish brown (10YR 5/2) dry; moderate medium granular and moderate fine granular structure; friable; common very fine roots throughout; slightly acid, pH 6.2, Chlorophenol red; abrupt smooth boundary.

Bg --- 25 to 37 centimeters; 65 percent grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) moist, interior and 35 percent olive brown (2.5Y 4/3) moist, interior, fine sandy loam; weak medium platy parting to weak fine subangular blocky structure; friable; moderately few very fine roots throughout; 3 percent (common) fine prominent cylindrical noncemented strong brown (7.5YR 4/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear on surfaces along root channels; moderately acid, pH 5.8, Chlorophenol red; Texture is very close to being a very fine sandy loam. The platy structure can be associated with plowing activities during moist times of the year.; abrupt smooth boundary.

BCg1 --- 37 to 50 centimeters; 70 percent light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) moist, interior and 30 percent light olive brown (2.5Y 5/3) moist, interior, very fine sandy loam; massive; firm; 5 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout and 5 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented strong brown (7.5YR 5/8), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout; strongly acid, pH 5.4, Chlorophenol red; Texture close to a fine sandy loam.; clear wavy boundary.

BCg2 --- 50 to 70 centimeters; olive gray (5Y 5/2) moist, interior, fine sandy loam; massive; firm; 15 percent (common) very coarse prominent irregular noncemented strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout and 15 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout; slightly acid, pH 6.2, Bromthymol blue; Texture close to calling it a very fine sandy loam. There is a band of redox concentrations that was about 30% of the horizon located in the lower 7cm of the horizon.; clear wavy boundary.

BCg3 --- 70 to 92 centimeters; olive gray (5Y 5/2) moist, interior, fine sandy loam; massive; firm; 3 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented yellowish brown (10YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout; 2 percent subrounded 2 to 30 millimeters coarse gravel sized mixed rock fragments; slightly acid, pH 6.2, Bromthymol blue; Texture close to a very fine sandy loam.; abrupt smooth boundary.

BCg4 --- 92 to 100 centimeters; gray (5Y 5/1) moist, interior, silt loam; massive; firm; 2 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout and 3 percent (common) medium prominent irregular noncemented light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout; slightly acid, pH 6.4, Bromthymol blue; abrupt wavy boundary.

BCg5 --- 100 to 137 centimeters; olive gray (5Y 5/2) moist, interior, fine sandy loam; massive; firm; 5 percent (common) coarse prominent irregular noncemented yellowish brown (10YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron clear throughout; slightly acid, pH 6.4, Bromthymol blue; Texture very close to call again. Could be a very fine sandy loam.; clear smooth boundary.

C1 --- 137 to 161 centimeters; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) moist, interior, fine sandy loam; massive; firm; slightly acid, pH 6.4, Bromthymol blue; The smooth topography of the horizon boundary is a guess as the pit wasn't excavated by hand any further.; clear smooth boundary.

C2 --- 161 to 178 centimeters; olive (5Y 5/3) moist, interior, very fine sandy loam; massive; firm; No bulk sample bag was taken..

Cg --- 178 to 229 centimeters; gray (N 5/) moist, interior, silt loam; massive; firm; No bulk sample bag was taken..
